Happy Turtle

After all, I am just a tiny, happy turtle exploring the vast waters.

It's been a while since I posted something. This doesn't mean I haven't been drawing. I have been sketching and painting on Photoshop, but some I never finish and I am not satisfied with the others to put them up.

This was a rather short painting; it didn't take much time. And I love shades of blue - so prettieh!O_O

Watermelons. I have always mistaken them for something else.
Tarbooj (hindi), but first thing that pops in my head is "Tarbooze"
 Kalingad (Marathi) but then again, I get confused with the Kalinga war. I wondered why would watermelons have a war? Or did King Ashoka fight with watermelons?

I don't know how this came to my mind. Just doodled a rough sketch in office, went home coloured it up! Done with soft pastels and pens. 

Transiting through life

Another painting! Life is never easy; sometimes we go through difficult, dark times, but always remember there are people whose light will glow and show us the right path.

It was fun painting this, and this time I was able to paint exactly what I had in my mind. I should do moaar!! :D

And yes, I want feedback!

2014!

Happy New Year!
It's been a hell of a year! 2014 was a great year for me, had new experiences, saw many new faces, realised many things about myself, explored a lot, and well..the list is endless!

I've been working, but not enough. I went through old folders and found some stuff, incomplete ones, abandoned ones... I realised I've not worked enough, which led to my new year resolution (which is the same as last year and the year before that) - to draw more, paint more, irrespective of how tired or busy I am. I need to make a conscious effort to doodle, for it is only when I doodle that I get more ideas, and ideas turn into paintings. :)

Misty night

Did this a month back, I think. White charcoal pencil + soft pastels on black drawing paper.
No detailing, did this because I was too excited when I got the white charcoal pencil.:D :D :D
